Swiss Chard and Tomatoes

  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. finely chopped fresh red chili pepper OR pinch of crushed red pepper
  • Bunch of Swiss Chard, washed, coarsely chopped, and drained
  • 3 medium tomatoes, peeled, seeded and coarsely chopped OR can of tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper

Sauté garlic and chili pepper in oil (2-3 minutes).

Stir in chard in batches, allowing to wilt before adding next batch.

Stir in tomatoes, cover, cook, stirring occasionally, until chard is tender, about 15 minutes.

Add salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.
