Roasted Pumpkin Wedges

Cut your pumpkin into wedges resembling pie. Since wedges are baked withthe skin on,
use a damp cloth to remove any dirt.

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces plus more for dish
  • 4 five-inch wedges of pumpkin, skin on
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream , plus more for whipped cream.

Heat oven to 350. In a small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and allspice. Set aside.

Butter a 2 1/2 quart shallow baking dish, and place wedges inside. Pour cream over wedges, coating each piece. Place butter pieces on wedges and in baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar mixture; place in oven. Bake until golden brown and fork tender, about 1 hour. Remove form oven; set aside for 15 minutes. Serve warm wiht whipped cream
